Health is all about balance mentally and physically. I personally have struggled with mental health, as I was diagnosed with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and OCD. In the beginning of my journey, I was ashamed of having a mental disorder, but as I continued to grow, I realized it's nothing to be ashamed of. Presently, I advocate for ending the stigma around mental health, as no one should feel alone. There is always a light at the end, and I hope my story can inspire others. My physical health also has been a journey, as it took me a while to understand exercise & nutrition. Health is a life-long journey, and this page will tell give you some tips to make that journey more enjoyable and simpler.  

Self-Love

What is Self-Love & Why it's Important

Self-love is one of the most important concepts I have learned in my 18 years. We've lived in our minds & bodies all of our lives, yet we don't feel comfortable with who we are.. it's crazy how naturally negative we are towards ourselves. We essentially are our own enemy. How many times do you find yourself looking at the mirror, pointing out your flaws, being consumed with negative thoughts, and just overall putting yourself? This cycle is toxic and unconscious, yet truly deteriorating. Our minds are our most powerful resource, and your mindset can truly shape your life. We were all put here for a reason; the stars wouldn't shine as bright without you. Self-love is about truly loving yourself and highlighting the positives about yourself over the negatives. Self-love can be in many forms, such as loving & accepting your body, not caring what others have to say, wearing what you want, taking yourself out, and just overall being happy with being in your own company. Our worth isn't from others opinions. Self-love has to be intentional; we get lost in the negative cycle, and we must consciously choose to change our bad behaviors for ones that are good for our health.

Tips: 

*For every negative thought, challenge your mind to turn it into a positive thought

*Remember how short life truly is, express who you are fully because in the end it won't matter and you will attract those who are like you 

*Remember to count your blessings and keep a positive attitude to life

*STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS; there is no one else in the world who is like you, as we all have a different combination of passions- embrace this, it's what makes you beautiful

*Remember that beauty is subjective- there is no one form of beauty

*Remember your life is your mindset- you have the power to create your life the way you want it to be

*Find & Invest in passions that make your heart go on fire
